The intent of my work is to express my passion for Art and Engineering. The art of my work is in the shapes I form together with the beauty of the wood I select. I choose hardwoods that exhibit unusual colors and uncommon figure. My forms and finishes are chosen to showcase the grain flow of the wood. I enjoy adding texture to my forms by sandblasting the surface and enhancing the grain with color dyes and oil finishes.
Wood artistry is a wonderful journey for me that is filled with passion, hard work, and joy. Wood is one of Nature's most amazing materials and I consider myself fortunate to work with it. It allows me to utilize my artistic skill and technical background to create beautiful shapes and forms to unlock Nature's inner most beauty.
