Red Tip Horn is a part of my Contemporary Taxidermy series. I adore natural history museums and this work is a result of my curiosity about the complex hidden mechanisms and structures behind the power and beauty of animals. Sliced gaps between segments in my Horn series are meant to draw the viewer inward to focus on what lies beneath the surface. -K. LeVier
