Molly Winton has been turning wood since 1998, and delving into various surface enhancement techniques (pyrography, branding, carving, and faux finishes), since 2003. She has a strong commitment to form, and believes this is essential above all else. Teaching and sharing turning and enhancement techniques is also a passion, and when her busy family life allows, she travels nationally and internationally to clubs and symposiums to share her work. Inspirations for enhancements have been derived from an interest in Native American art, as well as primitive, prehistoric, cave art. Her designs are created from her own imagination, and are not intended to represent any specific culture. Her work has been a part of exhibits, sold around the world, and featured in national and international periodicals
