Wood is the medium of choice for most of my sculpture because of the warmth and organic character that it imparts.  I work hard to find a piece of wood with the color and grain pattern that suits each of my designs.  I use wood for the innate natural quality that it gives my work even in some sculptures where I eventually texture or paint the entire surface.
