The details of the graceful leaves, fruit and the tendrils on this plate are amazing. Intricately carved and fantastically detailed, this plate is made from pear tree wood found in Armenian orchards. The original shape was lathe cut and then the grape motive was carved into that piece. It is as all of Nairi Safaryan's work is carved from a single block of wood.
