I have always had a special fascination with wood. I find that the basic properties of the material--color, structure, texture, smell--provide endless interest and enjoyment. I am intrigued with the shapes, colors, and forms of plants, animals, and inorganic substances within our fragile ecosystem. I am inspired by the power of dreams, desire and creativity that have the potential to take us to a higher, more spiritual level where beauty and harmony are the norm.

My art represents my regard for the sacredness of the wood as a raw material with unlimited potential. In my work I strive for a greater understanding of beauty and of the deepest fears and dreams that emanate from the core of my human existence.

My goal is to create objects that help others to expand their concepts of beauty and to connect with feelings that lead to a greater understanding and appreciation of what is possible.
