TURNED AND SCULPTED WOOD 2016

Turned and Sculpted Wood 2016 features 128 pieces of 37 artists. The exhibition is made up of internationally recognized masters of wood art along with some up and coming stars. It is an overview of what is currently going on in the field of Contemporary Wood Art. You will find pure turned bowls with stunning color and grain alongside exquisitely carved sculptural forms. Each displaying the soul of the maker, each with their own distinct style and personality. The field of wood art is expanding in so many directions, more carving, more color, and more dramatics. It is exciting to see the growth from vessel to sculpture, from attention to the rich grain of the wood, to the artist creating their own vibrancy in the work.
